It struggles to start, takes several kicks and spats of dying, then running. Once it warms up, it runs well, but the plugs are very sooty. SpletYou may be running rich. Rich fuel mixtures blacken your sparkplugs. You'll initially have an easy engine start because of a lot of fuel but, eventually, your sparkplugs blacken and the engine becomes difficult to start. Pull your sparkplugs off and see what color they are. If light grey, you've got to much air and not enough fuel.

Any ideas? Does my theory sound right, maybe kinda sorta.

When those TR6 owners with "the supposed problem" say they are running lean, how do they know ? What says your TR6 is really running lean ? What tests have you done that tell you that your TR6 is running lean ?

Splet09. jun. 2013 · A couple of months ago I took the TR6 out after winter and storage the engine was running rough, I changed the fuel, no difference so I changed the rotor arm to a know good one and the problem went away, I though solved. Drove 100 + miles no problems I took it out again today and had the same problems swapped rotor no difference.

Note that the original roller is 0.375" dia and 10 mm is 0.394 " dia.
