Switch off the engine before adjusting the mixture, and check that the jet needle is central. Remove the air cleaner , lift the piston and let it fall. Problem now is that it is running VERY rich – soot on plugs building up at an impressive pace, and from the tail pipe black smoke. It gets too much fuel, but I do not know why. SpletI have a 1973 TR6 and it is running very very rich. It has just had a new Unleaded Cylinder head and it seems to be since this was put on. The plugs are very black and the car has now got to the point where it is choking itself up, misfiring and loosing power when I try to go up hills (i.e when I use a little more throttle). Splet09. jun. 2013 · A couple of months ago I took the TR6 out after winter and storage the engine was running rough, I changed the fuel, no difference so I changed the rotor arm to a know good one and the problem went away, I though solved. Drove 100 + miles no problems I took it out again today and had the same problems swapped rotor no difference.
