While i was about it; i replaced the original tuners with Gotoh lightweight items which has gone a long way to reducing the neck dive. WebSorted out. Westone Thunder Jet. 80s Japanese made, Matsumoku factory. New selector switch, new output jack, new bridge saddles new strings. Push/Pull coil split. Fingerboard cleaned and oiled. Nut could be cut lower, but have a feeling my followers are the sort to detune horribly and use oversized strings so best cut to what it is gonna wind up used with. They're excellent basses though the longer 2-octave necked Thunder 2 and 3 models are a little neck heavy. But finding the right playing position will pay off and you will have a very useable instrument with bags of tonal range.
