Fj cruiser heat shield rattle
WebJun 19, 2024 · There is a heat shield/deflector mounted directly above the exhaust muffler which is secured using 4 washer nuts. One of the bolts has snapped off and has left the heat shield very loose. I am wondering if it would be okay to use a metal self tapper to secure it, or if there is anything that can be done about the broken bolt.
